My name is Dania and I’m a business, portrait and family photographer. I was born in Siberia, Russia, where I have started way as a professional photographer. In 2022 I moved to the USA to Colorado and brought my love to visual art here.
It’s been 15 years I started creating photographs. It was long and interesting way of discovering myself and my passion to photography. I’m so grateful that I can continue this passion of mine in Colorado.

My story and my experience
In high school, I loved taking photos and often imagined everyday moments around me as photographs. My dad knew about my passion and gave me an SLR camera for my 18th birthday.
After school, I attended university to study Journalism and Photojournalism. In 2012, I graduated with honors and began working for local media as a journalist and photojournalist, capturing reportage images. I worked as a journalist for almost eight years.
In 2018, I realized that I wanted to left journalism and focus fully on photography. I took many courses and attended workshops to grow my skills in professional portrait and lifestyle photography. I began shooting individual and family portraits. In 2019, I got a job at a company that provided photo and video services to commercial organizations. I was assigned to work as a photographer and videographer in the marketing department of a private hospital. I truly believe this experience changed me and the way I saw photography. It was also the time when I began practicing videography more seriously.
I worked at the Hospital for 3 years and I deeply loved this work. I took photos and videos of doctors, surgeries, medical equipment, and events for advertising purposes.
This is not only technical photography, but very much about human photography, because medicine is about people.
It’s about the concentrated eyes of the surgeon during the operation and the hands that literally do miracles. My marketing team and I tried to show the beauty and humanity of medicine through our work.
In addition, an important part of my work at the hospital was photographing clients in the perinatal department. I documented childbirth—the first cry, the first emotions of meeting the baby, the first tears, the first feeding. Photographing a birth is incredibly challenging, but witnessing new life is always a miracle, and after each session I felt a deep sense of happiness and warmth.
I also took the first family portraits, photographing newborns with their parents in the hospital room during the first 2–3 days after birth. That was the moment I truly fell in love with family photography.
Why do I love family photography?
I believe that photographs from the first days of a baby’s life — and childhood photographs in general — are incredibly important for both children and parents. Childhood is when the closest bond and unconditional love between parents and children are formed. Images that capture these moments become a powerful source of support in the future, a reminder of that deep, unconditional love.
I also have a deep love for portrait photography.
I believe that everyone needs portraits. They give us a chance to see ourselves from the outside, to pause and reflect on who we are in this particular moment of our lives. A portrait can reveal confidence, vulnerability, transformation, or growth — things we may not notice in our everyday routine.
Portraits become part of our personal history. One day, these images of us will be passed on to future generations. They will tell our story long after words fade.
I believe that photography it is not just an opportunity to preserve a moment, but much more. Photography has a power to helps us to see and convey the beauty of the life and people.
I want more people have opportunity to get this miracle. I do my best to bring my vision into every shoot — whether it is an individual portrait, maternity session, family story, elopement, or brand photography.
